This site is an integrated web-based satellite information system for monitoring and studying the environment.
It is aimed to research, educational, informational and environmental management uses.
It provides to users spatial satellite remote sensing data on the atmospheric, oceanic, coastal and land environment, focusing on two geographical areas:
- One of continental scale (which includes Europe and the Northern Atlantic) and
- One of local-regional scale (which includes Thrace, Southern Balkans and the Northern Aegean Sea).
The system provides:
- Visualisation capabilities for user-selected date(s) and parameters
- Spatial timeseries (movies) for user-selected dates and parameters
- Online tools for retrieving data on user-selected sites in ASCII format for user-selected dates and parameters
The data currently provided by the system are the following:
